mixology

yo yo,

so BM definitely stirred up my head-soup. no conclusions or grand revelations, but i've been suckin down media since getting back and evaluating it based on my revised post-burn aesthetic standards. here's some fresh pressed pink dome-juice for y'all:

a lot of super-fresh mixes have been rockin my face off lately. I'm currently buggin out to this ill mix by Idiosync. Can't find much info on him, but this is eccelecticism at it's best. poly continental funk, CHOICE spoken word samples, an incredibly variety of tones, flavors and (to a lesser extent) BPMs, with just a sprinkling of psyphy. Peep the tracklist:

28) Shape of Broad Minds - There 4 Me

Next stop on the mixtrain, iMeem. I feel like I'm a little late to the party on this one, as I've been hearing it's name floating around for a while as an alternative to seeqpod, beemp3 or pandora for when you've JUST GOTTA HEAR THAT ONE SONG RIGTHTHEFUCKNOW. But I ended up there last night, listening to a glitch mix by drumjunkie feat. our favorite mob. Naturally it led me to lots of other good related stuff, but most importantly the site basically just played me the shit I wanted to hear. Didn't try to sucker me into signing up, or put bullshit restrictions on stuff until I did. There's probably a gang of other mixes up there too, haven't explored that much yet.

Memekast tragically hasn't put out anything fresh since June 5th, and now I've listened to just about their entire catalog...alas, it was good while it lasted. Maybe a certain Mad Zamplist in our midst could kick start their reemergence by sending them a certain domesplitting BM08 mix...hint hint. Incidentally,
 >>>>>>>ZACH<<<<<<<<
where's that mix at, yo? yousendit or host it or something, plz. I told chris that his track was on it and he hella wants to cross promote that ish. If you get it to me, there's hella heads over here dyin for that shit. Plus we can probably get it on the Foodchain Collective and the Hip-Hop Database (HHDB), both of which Tyrone from Rosetta Stoned runs.

Ok, back to the choice content...
Who's the Leader of the Club?(Sasquatch HEAVY DUBSTEP remix) - Os Crunc Tesla Fearless Vampirekiller Arc feat. Boxcar, Optimis & M.J.Zilla

Yo, I can't believe I live with these ppl. He's got a new video that's indescribably sick, but I couldn't find it.

Finally, wanted to leave you with one more choice bit: The stones throw podcast doesn't have a lot of installments, but they all have a lot of J Dilla and are all super kine. About 13 minutes into the newest one (Gaslamp Killer vs. Heliocentrics) drops that awesome "Baron Zen!" remix feat the 5 year old emcee.
