Hey folks! You're friendly neighborhood :MoJo: here -
Just wanted to drop a line to you all and say
1) how grateful Aaron and I are for your massive hospitality and love and green goodies while we were visiting the Paul Sweet.
2) how deeply inspired I am after seeing people attack their crafts and their BM ventures with such fervor...we don't see alot of passion like that in NYC...or rather, maybe the passion is there - but folks are either too lazy or too "busy" to crank out the type of product yall are cranking out on the west coast.
So again, MANY MANY THANKS.
Glad to be connecting with talent on the other side of the tracks - since my dancers and I are planning a very special trip to San Fran after BM. Wondering if there are any filmmakers interested in getting down with our craziness around then.
We did the promo for America's Best Dance Crew a lil while back...check the vid here
but it would be really great if we didn't have to rely on such disgusting means as MTV to get our faces out there. What we're looking for folks, is real art - there wasn't even dancing in that commercial! Honestly - though super cool to see yourself on tv, it's kind of redonk to have a big corporation devalue your art.
SO - change is needed. Thoughts on this?
Millz - I hear you're working on some stuff for Miss Riley Girl...got anything we can preview?

Shakin' it Fast...
hey so we are going big at the burn
hey beings of this massive world. there are humans growling barking and shrieking all around me. and i am sitting on a porch in vancouver at 12:24am. i am communicating that i really want to keep burning man info, issues, concerns, questions, ideas, goals, and beyond flowing here on the massive. i am not worried per say i just know that we have alot to figure out between now and then. 61 days from right now. so i will tell you wht i know and what i think. i know that our e-mail list is not complete and that we need to make sure that everyone that is camping with us is on it. i know thAT that our contact to camp with nexus is haroot and tht it is only 100$ to camp with them and that we need to sign up with them in some way or form. i know that david spatola called me and has confirmed that he will drive his van and tow a trailer (fuckin crucial!) i know that we are trying to run a bike shop on the esplanade and we need to trouble shoot the shit out of what capacity we want to be working at. we should also figure out who is working and when. and what kind of tools and parts we are bringing. i also know that we HAVE to throw some sort of successful fundraiser before the burn if not several. i have heard good ideas ranging from skillshare fair to secret cafe (breakfast somewhere fun) or a fat BBQ. but we need to attempt to raise community money. for travel expenses. i also heard nexus is hooking up showers (awwww shit) dont have to run after the water truck every day this year, although thats still fun. other than that we should be thinking of things like making signage and banners for the camp and somehow find a way to presuade sean to still camp with us!! and think about things you can create for trade with people. i just really feel a bit distant from the whole situation and want to see what is on people minds so i will unroll mine first. so lets build this camp and make it rock solid through this beautiful outlet which we have created. and if you want to see where the rest of my sare time efforts are going visit www.howthewstcoastrocks.blogspot.com
so much love going out to ll you that love me and dont and understand me and dont
P.S. check out my new tattoo. it says DRAW, in my letters. got it in seattle

merlin and the temple of set
behold the dragon
a beast of such power that if you were to see it whole and all complete; in a single glance it would burn you to cinders
it is everywhere.
it is everything.
its scales glisten in the dark of trees. its roar is heard in the wind. and its forked tongue strikes like,
like;
like lightning.
what can you do?
do nothing
be still
sleep.
rest in the arms of the dragon.
dream.

Greetings from the Dubstep Capital of the World!
Hello Massivers,
Mad Zach and I just returned from our pilgrimage to the electronic dance music mecca, Raindance. Many amazing, beautiful people we have met on our journeys. We even brought the newly assembled Psyphy System with us to play out some Live sets on laptop. Benga & Skream were off the hook, needless to say. I guess my point here is that volunteering was a cool experience and anyone even remotely interested should consider volunteering for this amazing event, as it takes all year to plan and execute and the good people over at Black Rock Security could use all the help they can get!
If anyone if interested in additional pics of Raindance, let me know and posteth them I shall!
coda over and out.

Psyphklyn SOFA Party
Brooklyn meltdown! Live psyphy TONIGHT!
So, it's been quite an exciting and productive week out here on the east coast. Many new hands have been shook, many promising prospects of collaboration (Zach laid down some tracks with Chris from Rosetta Stoned). We eventually built up enough buzz around the town that we're pullin together to do a party tonight. Zach on the dex, R2 on the vis psyphy + anyone else who wants to roll through.
Anyways, the whole time we've been here mr. Mad Zach has been working like a fiend on finishing up his full length album. I've gotten to hear snippets here and there and I can assure you this shit is MAD PHAT. SUPER DUPER DANK WOMPER.
Evan talked to Zach about album art for a minute, so that might happen.. but moreover, I know there can be some sort of synergetic collaboration on the live performance, the live visuals, the album art, the website, the biz cards ... yanno ... the whole 9
I just wanted to throw it out there to any and all who read massive for the potential mega-collaboration.
much more to do today to set up for the par-, gotta get some fresh new midi gear. keep on truckin! love u all

eh yo. so we got a new blog for the trip called www.howthewestcoastrocks.blogspot.com and are still currently lodged in the bayarea's swollen prostate aka emeryville. last night was redaculas in SF. We drank whiskey on rooftops and then smashed into the dna lounge right when they opened it up to the general public at 10pm there were silks acrobats and a whole dance troupe of beautys to kill it along with hourdervs~! the arty got started and next thing you know millz is on the mic and agler is gettin booted out of the club for the second time. at about 3 we venture to grab our bags from my good man hirshfelders house and catch cab over the bridge for 40$ then we roll with cyd to the train yard and try a few trains to no avail. we sleep next to some center dividers and have since set up canmp in emeryville today friday. its all watermelon and whiskey from here on out. with a side of beef curtains. right now aggro and sidewinder are on the mish for beert and cheese. you know. nother day another folly.
GLiTch OuT %%PeaCE tO aLL
YO YO People. I'm just sittin' here in the train yard in Oak-town with my com padres millz and sidewinder waitin' fer the next train. I just wanted to say adios and laterz to ya'll and let you know how hard edIT killed it last night on the electric organ. YES, that's right, an electric organ and a laptop, and he played his entire first album "crying over pros for no reason" I wish I could tell you what type of organ it was but I was kind of FuCKed uP, In fact, I haven't slept and there are ants crawling all over me right now. But there is free wireless coming from a nearby hotel and beats in my brain, and I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you all that I love you and hope y'all have a super swell summer. We'll be back from the future in the future. Our blog should be started real soon (more info to come) but right now there are ants crawling up my butt and I gotta go. Peace, love satan, hippie stank, and blisters to all!?!?

grrrrglz 011011010101 gL1tter
iphones2.0 are out, black and white (they lost the silver back) and now have 3g instead of edge. the only real difference is that they've made the unit's more affordable, and soon everyone will have them (I don't need to cite the rediculously pretentious media bilderberg is pushing on people, what with "Apple is the 3rd largest mobile provider now." (as if there were any other company's anyway) and loopt's nazi myspace tracking engine that sees where all your friends are by trackers in their cellphones (you know, in case you want to have lunch or they owe you money and stuff...)
by the way did you all know that myspace is and always was evil, that it was started by the company that put spyware in Kazaa and gave everyone on earth spyworms? They changed their name and evidently Murdoch was in on it from the beginning! and Tom is not your friend...
onto ableton iphone
I mean this is just until linux mids
but check out linuxdevices.com for real because its a great blog like the massive, only lightside and all about guesswhat, developments in the linux and opensourece field.

I support Ableton in the streets!
Hello everyone, I just got back from my first (and possibly the first ever...) Ableton Live in the streets with trigger finger all running through my oldschool tapedeck boombox powered by batteries!!! It was awesome. Great public reaction, children pointing, people dancing, one guy def on acid tripping out poking speaker, sax player joined in, etc. I'm going to do it again, soon... Oh yeah, and here's that new mix I played at the cave rave. It's not done, but is getting phatter...

CAVEPARTY PREGAME FUNTIME
check it,
sound, lights, and bar are prepped and ready in Brian and Ross' sick ass prohibition cave. Thanks for having us over to set up and cook burgers.
In terms of VJ stuff remaining to be put up, Smurf, we need to bring both your laptops, the mac monitor converters, your other 2 projectors, and we can also bring mine if you can get your carpool to pick it up from near Costco where it currently resides. We should also bring the camera so that we can record the VJ set directly to miniDV tape or direct to HD if your sony works.
Hey Zach and/or Jesse. Will you be utilizing both trigger fingers tommorow night? If not it would be very flazh to VJ with.
Also I think it needs mentioning that Jesse got a pimpasablimp digital camera thats like 8 terrapixels in resolution and can shoot rapid fire on the go. I strongly suggest that you set up a high resolution fuckflckr account, especially if you find yourself taking lots of cool abstract and closeup shots of natural forms and textures. I'll go hog wild on that stuff if given the chance ;)
Whadya think should we be there setting up all this stuff around 5 tommorow?

MassiveBurns pbwiki ACCESS GRANTED
Whatup psyphynauts. Peep the latest flyer science from squidelephant, for a fatty brooklyn party happening on friday the 13th. Incidentally, we need more VJs with Alice in Wonderland themed content, so if any of y'all narwalls can make it out to Brooklyn next weekend, you got a gig. Some would say that friday the thirteenth is unlucky, but me, I'm a triskaidekapheliac. I think it's extremely auspicious. But that's not the point.
THE POINT IS:
Following R2's advice, I added everyone on massive as a writer for massiveburns.pbwiki.com. I made R2, Millz, Agler, Riley and Andraes admins's, cuz I figgered you would be the ones using it the most. Also, between the lot of ya, nobody should have trouble finding an admin to add them, should there be folks not on the massive who need to be able to add to the wiki.

JURACID WIKI
Yo!
I set us up a wiki for the Juracid Bikes Burning Man Camp. It can be found at massiveburns.pbwiki.com.
Let's keep conversations on the massive, but point to repositories of knowledge here. I see this as a place we can track progress on the various projects (bike workshop, dome, etc), personnel (tickets?), transportation (uhaul) and supplies (food, water, medical, funz). I made 4 folders to that end, and if we could keep every page organized in an enclosing folder that will make info easier to find for everyone. Maybe there should be a a folder for stuff related to the layout of our camp as well? I guess we can create that if it's necessary.
PLEASE create a member page for yourself at least, and of course edit the shit out of any pages pertinent to your involvement.
It's a public wiki now (but maybe that should change? ppls contact info will be up there). I believe anyone should be able to reg an account and login to edit, but let me know if you need invites or whatever.
NO SLEEP TILL BLACK ROCK CITY
